Frame

Numbered 55701 to 58075 (approx). Bolt on seat stays with drawback type chainstays for rear wheel adjustment.

Wheels

WM1x20 (f), WM1x20 (r) with identical hubs. Chrome plated rims and bolt on rear sprocket. Black spokes with NPB nipples.

Mudguards

Plain inverted U section, unvalanced. Rear, two piece with detachable main section.

Tanks

Petrol tank painted with lined panels with Enots reserve tap. Single central CEE-ESS type filler with front fitted petrol balance pipe. Two bolt damper arm fixing.

Engine

Numbered T1051 to T1400 (approx) - 4 valve 249cc with cast iron open valve radial cylinder head, bolted to the barrel from below. Oil feed to rear of cylinder. 14mm central plug. Rear mounted Lucas 30W Maglita ignition/dynamo.

Brakes

Both 6 3/4”, coupled with aluminium shoes.

Electrics

Lucas DU142  8” headlamp with  CZ23 8-0-8 ammeter. Lucas ST20A rear lamp. Lucas HF1140 horn mounted on front frame down tube.

Transmission

4 speed gearbox with foot change on LHS. Aluminium oil bath chaincase with ‘R’ on clutch dome.

Carburetter

Amal type 75/151 with Binks twist grip control. Fitted with flame arrester.

Exhaust system

Twin 1 3/4” low level pipes into barrel silencers and plain tailpipes.

Standard Fittings

80MPH trip speedometer. Stop light, Mechanism shield, battery cover, licence holder, 1” handlebars with long front brake lever. Two toolboxes fitted on either side of machine. Steering damper and handwheel operated fork shock absorber. Lycett pillion pad No 6B (4 bolt fixing). Open ended 500cc pattern round section forks with fork spring covers. Pressed steel central stand. THAPEX tyre inflator. Cover to front engine plates.

Extras

8 day clock in steering arm, pillion footrests, Revulator and upswept exhaust pipes.
