Frame

Numbered 49701 to 52195 (approx). Bolt on seat stays with cam type chainstays for rear wheel adjustment.

Wheels

WM1x21 (f), WM1x21 (r). Rear, interchangeable with chrome rims. Black spokes with NPB nipples. Bolt on rear sprocket.

Mudguards

Inverted U section, front valanced with bottom splash guard. Rear, unvalanced with hinged tail section.

Tanks

Petrol tank chrome plated with lined black panels. Single offset CEE-ESS type filler with front fitted petrol balance pipe. Single bolt damper arm fixing. Brass lever petrol tap.

Engine

numbered 7401 to 9500 (approx) - 4 valve 349cc with cast iron open valve fully radial cylinder head.18mm central plug. BTH KC1 D4 magneto and DM3G Miller dynamo. Oil feed to rear of cylinder. Plain cast alloy rocker cover.

Brakes

6 3/4” front and rear, coupled with steel shoes.

Electrics (optional)

Miller 7” headlamp with No 832 8-0-8 'Lighthouse' ammeter and 29E rear lamp. Stop lamp switch.

Transmission

4 speed gearbox with hand change on RHS of tank. Aluminium oil bath chaincase with no ‘R’ on dome and separate filler on shock absorber dome. Mediumweight clutch.

Carburetter

Amal type 6/102 with Amal straight pull twist grip control

Exhaust system

Twin 1 1/2” low-level downpipes into Rudge ‘can’ type silencers and 6” fishtails.

Standard Fittings

Pressed steel central stand with lifting handle, stop light, rear carrier, 1” handlebars with ‘clean’ type levers. Single toolbox fitted to offside of machine. Steering damper and hand operated fork shock absorber.

Extras

Smiths 2" (2.4" diameter) 8 day clock in steering damper arm, pillion footrests, leg shields, Smiths or Bonniksen speedometer, competition exhaust pipes, electric horn, Lucas No 63 bulb horn and footchange. Black & gold or chrome plated petrol tank with maroon panels with black or maroon guards. Black with maroon guards & tank panels.
