1923 7/9HP 4 speed


Frame

Numbered 809122 to 830585 (approx). Bolt on seat stays with drawback type chainstays for rear wheel chain adjustment.

Wheels

700 x 80mm beaded edge – interchangeable with 2 security bolts. 10SWG nickel plated nipples with double butted black spokes. Large spoke flange to nearside.

Mudguards

Flatish section, unvalanced, front and rear. Rear with patented hinged number plate and rear mudguard section. Metal side extensions to front mudguard.

Tanks

Petrol tank with double lined panel fitted between frame rails (flat tank). NO cut out for inlet valves.  Single 2” external screw type filler. Brass lever tap. Oil tank mounted on rear frame downtube across the frame with spring loaded filler to offside. Auxiliary foot operated oil pump integral in tank.  

Engine

Numbered 25600 to 26700 (approx). F head 50 degree V twin 998cc.

Brakes

Dummy belt rim front and rear.

Electrics (optional)

4V ML lighting.

Transmission

4 speed underslung gearbox with hand change on RHS of tank  cross over through the petrol tank to LHS change on gearbox. Vertical gear change gate. Gearbox with external kickstarter stop and internal helical gears. Aluminium  primary chain cover and rear chainguard. All chain drive.

Carburetter

Stub fitting Senspray with 2 lever control

Exhaust system

Twin 1.1/2” nickel plated downpipes into horizontal nickel plated expansion chamber mounted to the rear of the crankcase. Single tailpipe to rear wheel.

Standard Fittings

 Rear carrier with steel plate in centre space, 7/8” non adjustable handlebars type 104 with folded type inverted levers. Rear stand. Front stand. Leather tool box strapped to top of frame rail. Leather topped pillar mounted pan type saddle. Aluminium footboards. 18” foot pump.
