Frame

Numbered 52196 to 53960 (approx). Bolt on seat stays with drawback type chainstays for rear wheel adjustment.

Wheels

WM1x20 (f), WM1x20 (r) with identical hubs and chrome plated rims. Black spokes with NPB nipples. Bolt on rear sprocket.

Mudguards

Plain inverted U section, unvalanced front, valanced rear. Rear with detachable main section.

Tanks

Petrol tank Chromium plated with lined black panels. Single central CEE-ESS type filler with front fitted petrol balance pipe. Two bolt damper arm fixing. Enots non reserve petrol tap. Oil tank mounted in front of engine.

Engine

Numbered T1 to T750 (approx) - 4 valve 249cc with cast iron open valve radial cylinder head, bolted to the barrel from below. Oil feed to rear of cylinder.14mm central plug. Rear mounted Lucas Maglita ignition/dynamo.

Brakes

Both 6 3/4”, coupled with aluminium shoes.

Electrics

Lucas 7” headlamp, CZ23 8-0-8 ammeter and ST20A rear lamp.  Lucas HF317 (early), HF934 (late) ‘Altette’ electric horn.

Transmission

4 speed gearbox with foot change on LHS. Gearbox gear indicator. Aluminium oil bath chaincase with ‘R’ on clutch dome.

Carburetter

Amal type 75/151 with Amal straight pull control.

Exhaust system

Twin 1 1/2” high level pipes into barrel silencers and plain tailpipes. Heat shields fitted to exhaust pipes.

Standard Fittings

80MPH Chronometric trip speedometer. Stop light, battery cover, licence holder, 1” handlebars with Amal solid inverted levers. Single toolbox mounted opposite battery carrier. Lycett No 2B pillion pad with 3 securing screws each side. Pressed steel central stand. Steering damper and hand operated fork shock absorber. Open ended ’D’ section forks.

Extras

Smith's 2" 8 day clock mounted on a revised steering damper arm, pillion footrests, leg shields. All black petrol tank.
