Frame

Numbered 30940 to 36442 (approx). Bolt on seat stays with drawback type chainstays for rear wheel adjustment.

Wheels

WM1x19 (f), WM1x19 (r), with identical hubs (from 350cc) and black rims. Black spokes with NPB nipples. Bolt on rear sprocket.

Mudguards

5” D section, unvalanced front and rear. Rear with detachable tail section.

Tanks

Petrol/oil tank finished in black and gold. Twin external screw fillers (oil & petrol) with front fitted petrol balance pipe. Single bolt damper arm fixing but no damper fitted. Brass lever petrol tap.

Engine

2 valve twin port overhead (coded POY/S) or single port side valve (coded B/S) J.A.P. with rear mounted ML Maglita or ML magneto type NAK. External Best and Lloyd oil pump.

Brakes

Both 6 3/4”, coupled with steel shoes. (early models had hubs with the brake drums on the left, rear with bolt on sprocket and cross over brake pedal – non of these models are known to have survived).

Electrics (optional)

Miller 6” 64EA headlamp (with small ammeter retained by 3 screws), rear mounted switch and 34E rear lamp.

Transmission

4 speed Rudge gearbox with hand change on RHS of tank. External kickstarter stop. Pressed steel primary cover.

Carburetter

Amac 30 PJY # with 2 lever control.

Exhaust system

Twin 1 3/4” or single 1 1/2” low level pipes into Rudge ‘can’ type silencer(s) and 6” fishtail(s).

Standard Fittings

Non adjustable 1” handlebars with folded type inverted levers. Single toolbox mounted opposite battery carrier on nearside of machine. Riveted angle and strip steel centre stand. Open ended ‘D’ section forks.

Extras

Twist grip control to carburetter. Rear carrier at no extra charge.
