Frame

Numbered 64533 to 64544. Bolt on seat stays with cam type chainstays for rear wheel adjustment. Chain stays open ended for rear wheel removal.

Wheels

WM2x19 (f), WM2x19 (r) with 250cc hub in front wheel and 1937 type rear hub in the rear wheel (QD) with taper roller bearings. WD green rims and integral rear sprocket with brake drum.

Mudguards

Plain inverted U section, unvalanced. Rear with detachable main section and rear stand clip.

Tanks

‘Aero’ type petrol tank green with no lining with Enots reserve tap. Single central CEE-ESS type filler with rear fitted petrol balance pipe. Two bolt damper arm fixing.

Engine

Numbered A1871 to A1882  - 2 valve 245cc with cast iron open valve cylinder head, bolted to the barrel from above 14mm side plug. Rear mounted Lucas MO1-2 L3 Magdynamo ignition/dynamo driven by chain from the timing side. Plain unpolished cast alloy rocker cover.

Brakes

6 3/4” front and 7.5" rear, coupled with aluminium shoes. (from contemporary pictures although some texts indicate they were NOT coupled). Operated by LH pedal from lug on chainstay.

Electrics

Lucas 7” headlamp, CZ23 ammeter and MT110 rear lamp. Lucas Altette electric horn with Lucas LU76204 horn push. NIFE C105 battery. Separate MCR1 voltage control box mounted under the saddle.

Transmission

4 speed 500cc style gearbox with modified filler (shortened 1937-9 type). Foot change on RHS. Special WD 250cc enclosed type clutch and chaincase with screw on inspection cover.

Carburetter

Vertical Amal type 275/142 with Amal straight pull control (dull chrome finish).

Exhaust system

Single 1 3/4” low level pipe into barrel silencer and plain tailpipe painted silver.

Standard Fittings

Sump guard, 80MPH illuminated non trip speedometer. battery cover, licence holder, 7/8” handlebars. Single toolbox fitted to RHS of machine. Steering damper and handwheel operated fork shock absorber. Open ended ‘D’ section forks with stronger spring. Rear stand and prop stand. Rear carrier. THAPEX tyre inflator. 500cc Lycette saddle
